Compensation: $125,000 – $150,000 /year

The Opportunity
Wisdom RecruitmentS is partnering with a premier US-based healthcare delivery network to find an experienced Director of ICU for their facility in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), you will serve as a critical leader responsible for the clinical, operational, and financial success of the Intensive Care Unit. This is an ideal role for a high-impact nursing leader who excels at mentoring staff, driving quality initiatives, and maintaining peak productivity in a for-profit hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
➤ Departmental Oversight: Direct all aspects of the ICU, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
➤ Leadership & Mentorship: Manage, mentor, and develop nursing staff to foster a culture of clinical excellence and professional growth.
➤ Policy Development: Create, implement, and enforce departmental policies and procedures in alignment with accreditation standards.
➤ Financial Management: Take full accountability for the program’s budget, productivity, and resource allocation.
➤ Quality Initiatives: Build and lead a team focused on continuous quality improvement and evidence-based practices.
➤ Provider Relations: Facilitate and maintain strong working relationships with healthcare providers and stakeholders.
Candidate Requirements
Must-Haves:
✅ Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required.
✅ Experience: At least seven (7) years of healthcare experience, including a minimum of three (3) years in a leadership role.
✅ Licensure: Current New Mexico RN license (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
✅ Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
✅ Skills: Strong human relations, interpersonal skills, and a proven track record in budget management.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves):
✅ Advanced Degree: MSN, MBA, or Healthcare Administration degree strongly preferred.
✅ Sector Experience: Previous experience in a for-profit hospital environment.
✅ Strategic Growth: Experience in program development and facilitating provider relationships.
