Reporting To: VP of Sales

The Role: Sales Operations Strategy & Leadership

This senior-level role is responsible for leading, overseeing, and optimizing the entire sales operations function for the client’s US direct sales organization. You will be integral in combining strategy, advanced analytics, process improvement, and leadership to ensure the sales organization runs efficiently, drives revenue growth, and achieves margin targets.

This is a Hybrid role, requiring three days per week in the Long Beach, CA office (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays), with remote work on Mondays and Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

➤ Strategy & Planning: Oversee the direct sales organization, providing leadership, goal setting, and performance management. Partner with executive leadership to set and monitor sales targets, driving territory planning, sales forecasting, and pipeline management.

➤ Process Optimization: Develop and streamline sales processes and policies. Implement and optimize sales enablement technologies, including the CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring high data integrity.

➤ Revenue Management: Track and drive efficiency, build SaaS sales operational frameworks, and standardize performance dashboards. Monitor key metrics like win rates, deal cycles, and churn rates to recommend process adjustments.

➤ Cross-Functional Alignment: Drive operational alignment between Sales, Professional Services, and Finance to optimize customer onboarding and long-term value realization.

Essential Qualifications (Must-Haves)

✅ Experience: 10+ years of experience in sales operations or sales leadership, preferably within a SaaS organization.

✅ SaaS Sales Leadership: Proven track record of leading direct SaaS sales organizations with measurable revenue and delivery growth.

✅ CRM Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience managing and optimizing Salesforce activity and ensuring data integrity.

✅ Analytics: Highly analytical individual with demonstrated experience using sophisticated analytical tools like Power BI or Tableau to generate actionable insights.

✅ Industry Knowledge: Experience selling into regulated industries such as Government, Insurance, Education, or Financial Services.

✅ Frameworks: Deep expertise in developing and implementing Sales Operations Frameworks.

✅ Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred.

✅ Direct experience leading or managing a direct sales team.
