Job Type: Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite
Engagement: Contract-to-Hire (EOY CTH)
Compensation: $40-$50/hr on C2C (Contract-to-Contract)
Are you a seasoned Full Stack Java/Angular Developer looking to make a significant impact in the financial services industry?
Our esteemed client, a leading financial services company providing critical clearing, settlement, custody, and risk management services for securities transactions, is seeking four (4) talented Mid-Senior Full-Stack Java/Angular Developers to join their core engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the modernization of a pivotal capital markets risk application.
About the Role:
As a key contributor, you will be instrumental in upgrading a legacy Angular codebase to the latest versions, implementing modern best practices, and designing robust Java/Spring Boot backend services. You’ll work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary Agile environment, focusing on delivering scalable and high-performance solutions that ensure the smooth functioning and transparency of financial markets.
Key Responsibilities:
➤ Lead the modernization of a legacy Angular application (upgrading from pre-Angular 9.x to latest versions).
➤ Design and implement scalable backend services using Java (8+), Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
➤ Collaborate closely with UX/UI, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle.
➤ Optimize application performance, scalability, and responsiveness across the full stack.
➤ Refactor and enhance Oracle PL/SQL queries and stored procedures.
➤ Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
➤ Ensure high code quality through comprehensive unit and integration testing.
➤ Stay current with the latest trends and tooling in the Angular and Java ecosystems.
Required Qualifications:
✅ 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience, including Spring Boot and REST API design.
✅ Strong Angular experience, with a proven track record in upgrading and refactoring legacy Angular applications.
✅ Proficiency with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including performance tuning and schema design.
✅ Solid understanding of modern front-end architecture, TypeScript, RxJS, Angular CLI, and SCSS/CSS.
✅ Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized environments (e.g., Docker).
✅ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA.
✅ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
✅ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Nice to Have:
✔️ Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications.
✔️ Familiarity with Snowflake or other cloud-based data platforms.
✔️ Experience with testing frameworks like JUnit, Jasmine, and Karma.
