Position: Group Operations Manager
Job Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka
Travel: Required 3-4 days per week outside colombo (to the factories)
Working Days: Monday to Saturday
Type: Probation 6 months then confirmation based on the performance
Our client, a leading Apparel Manufacturer in Sri Lanka with extensive operations both in and outside of Colombo, is seeking a dedicated Group Operations Manager. This is a full-time role crucial for driving operational excellence across all manufacturing units.
Role Description
As the Group Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for significantly improving overall efficiency and profitability. This involves optimizing processes, reducing costs, enhancing productivity, and ensuring all key performance indicators (KPIs) are met. You’ll lead and manage teams, develop and implement strategic operational initiatives, and champion a culture of efficiency and productivity across the group.
This role requires a presence in Colombo for 1-2 days a week, with the remaining days dedicated to visiting and overseeing our factory operations.

✅ Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments
✅ Analytical and strategic thinking skills
✅ Knowledge of supply chain and logistics
✅ Experience in the apparel industry is a plus
✅ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
✅ Advanced certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or other relevant operational excellence methodologies preferred.
Experience
➤ Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management, with at least 5 years in a senior role
➤ Proven track record of improving operational performance and turning around underperforming units
➤ Experience in implementing continuous improvement methodologies
➤ Background in apparel manufacturing or related industries preferred
