About the Opportunity
Wisdom Recruitments is partnering with one of our leading clients in the USA, a dynamic and innovative technology organization, to find a highly skilled and experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer. This is a critical contract role focused on enhancing the reliability, performance, and scalability of their core technology platforms within the pharmacy sector. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of onsite collaboration in Morris Plains, NJ, and remote work.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you will be instrumental in driving SRE adoption and operational excellence. Your key responsibilities will include:

Leading the implementation and adoption of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices across various technology initiatives, particularly within the Pharmacy Technology Tech Wellness Program.

Designing and implementing robust observability frameworks, including comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions.

Defining and meticulously tracking key metrics such as Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure optimal system health and performance.

Developing intelligent alerting mechanisms and intuitive reporting dashboards to proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact end-users.

Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and infrastructure, leveraging cutting-edge cloud-native technologies, containerization, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.

Providing mentorship and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.

Driving the reduction of operational overhead through automation and efficient DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline optimization.

Accessing and analyzing reports, data, and other information from various systems to perform analytical procedures.

Potentially participating in certain fraud and whistleblower investigations.

Coordinating and collaborating regularly with external auditors to ensure adequate audit coverage and maximize work efficiency.

Planning and completing assigned SRE projects and audits in accordance with accepted professional standards.

Providing assistance to external audit personnel as requested.

Performing other related engineering and auditing duties as directed.

What We’re Looking For (Required Skills & Experience)

Education: A 4-year Bachelor’s Degree is required.

AWS Cloud Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure, including services such as EKS, ECS, EC2, DynamoDB, and RDS.

Observability & Reliability: 5+ years of experience in Observability and Reliability Engineering at a corporate level, with a proven track record of implementing robust monitoring, alerting, and reporting frameworks using SLOs and KPIs to ensure system health and performance.

DevOps Practices: 5+ years of experience with modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline development, container orchestration, and automation for reduction of operational overhead.

Technical Proficiency:

Experience with observability tools such as Dynatrace, Splunk, and CloudWatch.

Strong understanding and practical application of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles, including SLI, SLO, and SLA management.

Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Java, or Golang.

Experience with YAML for configuration management.

Solid understanding of containerization technologies.

Prior experience working with B2B software environments.
