The Opportunity
Wisdom RecruitmentS is exclusively seeking a highly qualified and experienced Accounting Professional to join a top-tier international accounting and consulting services firm. This is a secure, fully remote role based in Sri Lanka, offering a fantastic opportunity to work directly with UK and Indian accounting professionals on complex international accounts.
You will be instrumental in managing client portfolios focused heavily on UK financial standards, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
Key Responsibilities
➤ Prepare and finalize statutory accounts for UK-based clients compliant with FRS 102 (Section 1A) and/or FRS 105.
➤ Manage end-to-end accounting portfolios, including bookkeeping review, year-end adjustments, and financial statement preparation.
➤ Provide robust technical support and analysis for tax computation and compliance activities.
➤ Collaborate with senior stakeholders in the UK and India to manage client expectations and deadlines.
➤ Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and operational efficiency.
Mandatory Qualifications & Experience
✅ Qualification: Must be a UK Qualified ACCA or Sri Lanka CA (Chartered Accountant) qualified professional.
✅ Experience: A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in a professional accounting environment.
✅ UK Financial Reporting Standards: Extensive practical experience working with Financial Reporting Standard 102 (FRS 102) or FRS 105 (The Financial Reporting Standard for Micro-Entities).
✅ Communication: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills are mandatory, as you will be collaborating daily with UK and Indian professional teams.
Required Technical & System Proficiency
Proven working knowledge and practical experience with the following industry-standard software are highly desirable:
✅ Practice Management/Accounts Preparation Software: CCH Accounts Production, IRIS, or similar specialized practice software.
✅ Taxation Software: IRIS Tax Software, or similar UK tax preparation tools.
Training & Onboarding
The selected candidate will participate in a mandatory, fully sponsored 1-2 month training program in India. All costs, including airfare and accommodation, will be covered by the client. This initial training is crucial for deep integration with the client’s internal systems and processes.
