Job Description
A leading software engineering company in Sri Lanka, a client of Wisdom RecruitmentS, is looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent, hybrid position based in Colombo, where you will work on-site for two days and remotely for three days per week.
Key Responsibilities
⮞ Design, implement, and manage continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
⮞ Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications and infrastructure.
⮞ Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
⮞ Work closely with development and QA teams to improve the software development lifecycle.
⮞ Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and performance.
⮞ Administer and configure containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
⮞ Ensure security best practices are integrated into the development and deployment process.
Required Qualifications
✅ A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
✅ Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
✅ Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
✅ Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
✅ Proficiency in containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
✅ Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible, Terraform).
✅ Solid understanding of networking concepts, security protocols, and best practices.
✅ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
