Job Description
A leading IT firm in Sri Lanka, a client of Wisdom RecruitmentS, is seeking a talented and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join the team in a full-time, permanent, hybrid role based in Colombo. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to take on a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the innovative software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
⮞ Lead and execute both manual and automated testing processes for the software products.
⮞ Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts using industry-standard tools.
⮞ Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and create comprehensive test plans.
⮞ Mentor and guide junior QA team members, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
⮞ Identify, document, and track bugs, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
⮞ Contribute to the continuous enhancement of the QA processes, tools, and methodologies.
Required Qualifications
✅ A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
✅ Proven experience in a QA role, with at least 5 years of experience in both manual and automation testing.
✅ Solid experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
✅ Proficiency in a programming language like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
✅ Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
✅ Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
✅ Strong understanding of API testing using tools like Postman.
✅ Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
✅ Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.
